September 25, 10:30 am Amazing Arthropods Did you know that spiders turn their prey into tiny juice boxes and sip from them over time? Come join us as we explore the world of spiders and other arthropods! We will take a walk to look for signs of arthropods, and complete a spider craft to take home. $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
October 23, 10:30 am Skeletons and Skulls Want a chance to hold a skull in your own hands? Come join us as we discover why it would be scary NOT to have a skeleton and skull! $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
November 20, 10:30 am Cool Camouflage “And now, it will magically disappear!” Come figure out the illusion behind how animals disappear in the forest, meadow and stream! Make a camouflage mask to take home and follow a naturalist along the trail as we try to uncover the illusions of camouflage. $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
December 18, 10:30 am Animals in Winter Where do animals go in winter? How do even the tiny ones survive the harsh winter conditions? Join us as we find out how animals adapt to winter. Touch some real animal pelts and play the role of hibernating animals. $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
January 15, 10:30 am Slithering Snakes Come join a naturalist as we learn about one of the most feared animals on our planet, and why we need to appreciate them instead. Touch real snake scoots and scales and understand why snakes are so important to our healthy planet. $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
February 12, 10:30 am Predators in the Sky Our skies are filled with hawks, owls, eagles, and other birds of prey. Come join us as we explore the predators of the sky in our area. $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
March 12, 10:30 am Food Web Did you know you are a part of Earth’s one big food web? Come find out what a food web, food chain, and food pyramid are and how you are connected to them. $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
April 9, 10:30 am Slimy Slugs/Wiggly Worms Join a naturalist as we get to know our slimiest neighbors: slugs and worms. You will get a chance to hold one if you would like to and we will venture into the woods to look for our native slugs. $5 per person. Ages 6Y and up.
Scout Merit Badge Workshops Use Lewis Creek Park to get Scout badges accomplished! Each program is an hour and costs $10 per scout.
